How to add it

  1. Find the plugin

    In ChatGPT, open Plugins and search for "Shadowfolio", or use the button above.

  2. Add it

    No account and no brokerage link. Shadowfolio knows you only by an anonymous ID that ChatGPT provides.

  3. Describe a strategy

    Say what to trade, when to buy and sell, how often to rebalance and how to size. Anything you leave out, it asks about.

Things to say

  • Backtest buying SPY only when it's above its 200-day average, otherwise holding BIL
  • Test holding the 5 S&P 500 stocks with the best 6-month return, rebalanced monthly
  • Save it and track it daily
  • How is my strategy #1 doing?
Will it tell me what to buy?
No. It tests rules you describe and never suggests securities or strategies.
What does it keep about me?
The strategies you save and their daily tracking record, under a scrambled form of ChatGPT's anonymous ID; never your name, email or chat. Details in the privacy policy.
Where do prices come from?
End-of-day prices from Yahoo Finance, refreshed once per trading day.
